A long black communal table with matching benches anchors the scene, where a group of people gathers in conversation and review—suggesting an active, dynamic workflow. Lush greenery softens the industrial aesthetic and adds warmth to the space. Overhead, modern linear LED fixtures and acoustic panels blend clean design with functional lighting, maintaining the polished, open feel that defines the studio.
This area highlights the studio’s versatility: a place where teams can plan, collaborate, or reset comfortably between shooting sessions.

A person walks through the lower portion of the frame carrying gear, subtly illustrating the depth and scale of the space without distracting from the environment itself. The combination of high ceilings, structural rigging, and a pristine cyc underscores the studio’s capability to handle complex, professional lighting setups and large-scale creative builds.

A long black communal table sits to the left, where team members are gathered—one working on a laptop, another preparing gear—showcasing the space as an active hub for collaboration. Near the door, a crew member pulls open the roll-up garage entrance while another walks toward the exterior with rolling cases and equipment in hand. This movement demonstrates the ease and convenience of loading gear directly from vehicles into the studio.
Polished concrete floors and high ceilings reinforce the industrial-modern aesthetic, while the layout emphasizes efficiency for productions that require smooth, fast load-ins and transitions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Encounter Film Studios is the only full-service rental house in East Toronto, combining a 3600 sqft cyclorama, multiple support spaces, and in-house camera, lighting & grip rentals. Unlike downtown or west-end options, everything you need is available in one location, saving time and reducing the need for multiple vendors.
All productions must provide a valid Certificate of Insurance with studio rental coverage before a booking is confirmed. This protects both the client and the facility, and ensures projects are carried out safely and professionally. For qualifying projects, alternative rental coverage may be available — please ask our team during the inquiry process to see if your production is eligible.
Along with our large cyclorama studio, we also offer a 600 sqft boardroom, a multi-room Audio Studio used for production and photography, and a Green Room for clients or talent holding. Each space can be booked individually or combined as part of a larger rental.
Our spaces are designed for commercial film production, photography shoots, music videos, narrative projects, and corporate events. With flexible layouts and professional infrastructure, the studio supports both small-scale shoots and large productions requiring multiple spaces.
Yes. Camera, lighting & grip rentals are available in-house, along with dollies, sliders, and location support equipment. By keeping gear and space together, productions can streamline logistics and avoid the downtime of coordinating outside rentals.
